Jack was lonely. He had been wandering these woods for some time now, but everywhere he went, it seemed like everyone ran from him. He would occasionally chase after them, but that just scared them more, and they always played dead(and a little charred) when he caught them. He just didn't get it! Oh, did I mention that Jack was a living fireball?
Feeling let down after another long day of looking for a friend, be began to wander back to the little hearth he had made for himself, where he could blaze and wonder why the world rejected him so thoroughly, and mayber cry a sprinkling of sparks.

Ishi was a sword. A sword that had 'lived' for 400 years and 364 days. And right now 'she' was lying on the ground, next to the charred body of her previous owner, impatiently waiting for today to pass.
Maybe she should just go to sleep. But she didn't want to miss a second of tomorrow, when she would finally be able to get a humanoid form. Then she would go and look for that little fireball that made her owner die, and her existence so very, very boring.
Oh yes, the fireball would pay. Now, how did one go by killing fire?
Ishi thought for a moment, then decided she better get some water before looking for that fireball. Stupid fireballs. Stupid humans. Stupid pantheon that made her unable to get a human form on her own until her 500th birthday. She was probably older than Farain and most demigods by now.
At least she had magic. Some of it. Oh yes, maybe she'd just skip right to looking for that fireball and conjure water to extinguish it.

A bright weather ball bounced along the forest path. It seemed to change color and shape every time it bounced. It turned blue, red, green, white, as well as a multitude of shades in between. The weather ball's name was WB, because its owner had never bothered to give it a proper name. WB's owner had been an apprentice mage. The mage was named some obnoxious name like Yorithinyayklazist, and he'd died during an excursion in the forest to find some juniper berries. Yori had hardly died a noble death, seeing as he'd tripped off the edge of the cliff that was clearly marked with warnings. Yori had not been the brightest apprentice or owner around.
So now WB had been off on his own for about 250 years. He usually drifted around, raining on other miscellaneous items when he was sad, or casting a bit of sunshine in the cave when he was in a more cheerful mood. WB had met other elemental balls, but never a weather ball such as himself. It made him a bit lonely, but he didn't mind. Fire balls tended to be a little temperamental, and water balls were just boring, but it was better than no one at all to speak to.

Tick tock tick tock.
Hurry up and pass, Time.
Ishi always wondered if time was a sentient thing. Probably not. It wasn't an elven-made magic object or whatever qualified for being Tsukuomi was again.
A weather ball flounced by. Hmph. Weatherballs. At least it wasn't a fire ball.
"Hey, you there, weatherball whippersnapper." Ishi 'said'. "Come over here, I'm bored."
